Trampoline Enclosures

Trampoline Enclosures – Reference Guide

Trampoline enclosures, also known as Trampoline surrounds, used to not be as popular as they are now. Up until about 2006 many trampolines were sold without enclosures but since then, the consumer and the industry have come to realise that they are highly advisable from a safety perspective, especially where younger children are concerned. We are now in a position to supply replacement enclosures to fit most trampolines on the market.

When buying replacement trampoline enclosures, you need to know the overall diameter of your trampoline, along with the number of legs that your trampoline has. Generally speaking, an 8ft trampoline will have 3 sets of legs, whilst a 10ft trampoline can have either 3 or 4 sets of legs. On larger 12ft and 14ft trampolines, either 4 or 6 sets of legs are used.

On most trampoline enclosures, the poles are located outside the frame pads, some manufactures design the net to hang inside the pads, whilst others design the netting to hang outside the padding. The latter is how our surrounds are designed.

As with all products that we supply, ours are of a top end quality, you may find cheaper trampoline enclosures on the market, but they will not be of the same quality as ours. Because our trampoline surrounds come direct from the factory, there is no “middle-man” mark up - so our enclosures are priced as keenly as they can be. Whilst there are cheaper alternatives on the market, the old adage of quality coming at a price, couldn’t ring more true in the world of Trampoline Spares.

Having been in the trampoline market for over 10 years, we have the experience to know what does and doesn’t work when it comes to trampoline enclosures. We have seen the pitfalls of using cheap materials and inferior designs, and when it comes to a product that is being sold as a safety accessory, you cannot afford to cut corners! Our trampoline enclosures have been built to our own specifications and are designed to last.

At Trampoline Spares Direct, we offer a range of trampoline enclosures to fit most trampoline makes, including TP Toys, Jumpking, Supertramp, Plum and Argos. Click this link to see our extensive range: Trampoline Enclosures

What to check when buying your trampoline enclosure:

  • The overall diameter of your trampoline – Measured from outer edge to outer edge. Some people still manage to get this wrong!
  • The number of legs that your trampoline has – Normally, the trampoline legs are paired, so whilst an 8ft trampoline may have 3 legs on the ground, there are 6 uprights that your enclosure poles attach to.
  • Height of your trampoline from the ground – Generally, trampolines are all built to a similar height from the ground. 8ft & 10ft trampolines are around 76cm from the ground, whilst with 12ft & 14ft trampolines, this figure is around 90cm
